1 Title: FREE CASHFLOWS AND THE FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF LISTED DEPOSIT MONEY BANKS IN NIGERIA.pdf

Abstract: Free Cash Flow is an important indicator that shows a company’s financial performance as it provides a lucid picture of the firm’s liquidity and its ability to generate excess cash. With FCF, firms can fund their growth easily without relying on debts. They can also pay dividends to shareholders as well as withstand other economic conditions. This study on the impact of free cash flow on the financial performance of deposit money banks in Nigeria, 2017 – 2022. Annual timeseries data on five deposit money banks in Nigeria were used for the panel regression analysis. ROI represented the financial performance of the firm while FCF supported by TA and NP were used as the independent variables. The study analysed the data using random and fixed effects models. It was discovered that FCF, TA, and NP have positive and significant relationship with ROI. The study concludes that banks management can achieve improved financial performance by focusing and improving on FCF, NP, and TA. It is recommended that bank’s management should be trained and retrained on the usefulness of FCF, making it part of the company’s management culture to understand its usefulness and importance in improving the financial performance of the company View

Abstract: This studys main goal was to determine the connection between organizational sustainability and talent management at Muoka Foam Industries in Benin City, Edo State. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between employee training and organizational sustainability in Mouka Foam industries, Benin City, as well as the impact of talent retention on the former. Eighty employees were the target population (Mouka Foam Industries). There was a stratified random sample. Both primary and secondary data were employed in the investigation. Version 23 of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to analyze the data that was gathered. The standard deviation, mean, and frequency of the results were displayed. Tables and figures were used to display the demographic profiles. The association between the variables was ascertained by regression analysis. The results showed that staff training and talent retention had a substantial positive link with organizational sustainability. The study demonstrated how much successful talent management within the company affects employee performance. Abstract: The study examined the link between financial inclusion and SMEs performance in Nigeria from 1992 to 2022. Active Account Holders (AAH), Total Credit (TCR), Bank Branches (BBR), Total ATMs (TATM) and Financial Innovation (FIIN) were the indicators for financial inclusion employed by the study while Output of SMEs (SMEO) proxied SMEs performance. The study employed the unit root test to help ascertain data stationarity, ARDL error correction model and its associated bond test to determine the short and long run relationship which was necessitated by mixed order of integration observed in our unit root test and causality test to help us determine the causal relationship among the implicated variables for its analysis and reported AAH, TCR and TATM to have insignificant positive effect on SME, BBR showed insignificant negative effect on SMEO while FIIN showed significant positive influence on SMEO.A unidirectional causality was observed between AAH and SMEO with causality flowing from AAH to SMEO and also from SMEO to TCR and FIIN and bidirectional causality observed between SMEO and TATM. The study recommends the need for in-depth research on various types of customers by financial services providers as to know and develop financial products and services that will help SMEs and also to site ATMs and bank branches in strategic locations that will grant SMEs ease to financial services. Abstract: The study examined the Nigeria’s external debt profiles on the economy. The trust was to ascertain the effects of exchange rate, interest rate and external reserves on gross domestic product (GDP). Secondary sources of data were collected from CBN statistical bulletin and World Bank indicator 1997-2021. Multiple regression tests were used for the analysis. Findings showed that the independent variables significantly affect Nigeria’s gross domestic product (GDP) except for real interest rate. Abstract: Nigerian undergraduate students risk-taking tendencies, individual characteristics, and entrepreneurial intentions are explored in this research, which advances our knowledge of these phenomena. While there has long been discussion about their relationship, there has only been minimal empirical data addressed in developing nation contexts such as Nigeria. Entirely theoretical research was conducted in order to close the gap, with the majority of the data coming from a complete assessment of notable works of literature and policy documents. As a result of the findings, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between undergraduate students risk-taking tendencies and their entrepreneurial intentions. According to the findings, risk-taking tendencies play a significant role in the development of entrepreneurship among students in Nigeria, which is supported by the findings. Abstract: The study investigated the effect of accounting information on the dividend payout (DPO) of oil and gas firms listed on the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX). An ex-post facto research design was used in the study. As of December 31, 2021, there were 11 oil and gas firms listed on the NGX; eight of these companies were chosen through the use of purposive sampling. Over a fifteen-year period, information was taken from the chosen companies financial statements (2007–2021). Data were analyzed using regression (Pooled Ordinary Least Square) analysis. The results revealed that accounting information had a significant effect on the DPO (Adj.R2 = 2.59, F = 2.59, p < 0.05) of oil and gas firms quoted on NGX. The study concluded that accounting information influence the DPO of oil and gas firms listed in Nigeria. The study recommended that the management of oil and gas companies should consider accounting information when formulating DPO that will meet the expectations of various stakeholders and investors should consider accounting information in the published financial statements when forecasting DPO by oil and gas firms listed in Nigeria.
